The Royals are still Kings of the Cactus League
Since I have last written on this blog. Not a lot has changed record wise for the Royals. They are still sitting on top of the Cactus League with a record of 14-4. Including their first week with all wins, during the week of March 5th-March 11th.
Top Prospect Gavin Cross Has Arrived
Royals #1 Prospect Gavin Cross made his spring debut against the LA Dodgers on March 4th. Cross wen’t 1-2 with a triple and a strikeout. Royals fans need to look out for this guy as he will be a future stud for years to come in Kansas City. But for now watch out for him to tear up High A with the potential to get called up to Double A Northwest later this season.
*Update he also added a Home Run to his Spring Totals.
Gavin Cross is the future.
Welcome To The City
At least it’s not #TogetherRoyal for the fifth season in a row.
The Royals Are Making Waves In The WBC
Well Except For One Guy Unfurtunately
As the resident Brady Singer stan. I am legally obligated to have his WBC outing scrubbed from the record.
Also The Royals Have Optioned Some Guys
While it’s not too surprising to see all three of these guys being optioned to the minor leagues. It is a little surmising to see Jonathan Bowlan and Alec Marsh not go too Triple A instead. But, I guess the Royals are still deciding to let Jonathan Bowlan try and get back to his pre-tommy john self before bringing him up to Omaha. As for Alec Marsh maybe the Triple A pitching is pretty close to full and they don’t have room for Marsh in Omaha.
*I didn’t mention Diego Hernandez because it wasn’t really a surprise him going to Northwest because he hit great for High A last season so Double A was the next logical step up for him.
*I also didn’t mention him because he’s going to be injured for a couple months.
